Brett Carey: Chef de Cuisine


Brett started his career as a dishwasher in the restaurant industry over 30 years ago. He loved the fast-paced environment immediately and knew that this was his niche. Brett has worked in a variety of positions throughout the years including being a Kitchen Manager and Supervisor. Brett was also involved in the opening of a restaurant which was definitely a learning experience and gave Brett a new set of skills.


Brett spent sixteen years at a fine dining restaurant in Toronto and this was when he completed his test for his trade license red seal. Brett moved to the Niagara region and worked in a vineyard and he knew that he wanted to work in the area. Brett first joined the Stone House team in March 2017. Brett joined the Lake House team in March 2018 and was recently promoted to the position of Sous Chef. Brett hopes to use his years of cooking to help others learn and to inspire them.
