Kaylee Dambrauskas – Pastry Chef
Since Kaylee was 13 years old and had watched ‘Ace of Cakes’, she knew with certainty that she wanted to be a cake decorator and baker. She completed four years of culinary classes in high school, as well as a Dual credit program at Canadore College for chef apprenticeship in Grade 11. Kaylee knew that she had found her calling! She competed in high school culinary competitions and won Next Top Chef at Canadore College.
Kaylee moved to the Niagara region in 2016 to attend Niagara college. She completed Culinary skills first and then Baking and Pastry. Kaylee worked as a line cook in several restaurants in St. Catharines from 2016 to 2019 to round out her culinary experience.
Kaylee has always been fully encouraged and supported by her family between cake decorating lessons and being her test subjects.
Kaylee is driven by her love for baking and her passion to create new things that brighten peoples’ days. The smile on someone’s face when they see their dessert is one of her favourite parts of baking. Kaylee joined the Lake House team as our Pastry Chef in the Spring of 2022.
